The trio of new AMD and Intel-powered gaming systems for Black Friday and Cyber Monday shoppers offers nice deals by providing powerfully specced PCs at reasonable price. From now through the end of the Thanksgiving weekend CyberPower will make available three custom-built PCs with special promotions, extra mail-in rebates, and a 10% discount off the entire order whether the customer chooses the base model or customizes their gaming rig through CyberPower’s “configurator.”

PlayStation Network cards coming this month. Sometime later this month, retailer Game will begin selling cards with prepaid PlayStation Network credit.

While our American and European cousins have been able to purchase PlayStation Network Store credit from brick-and-mortar retailers for a while now, the options have been more limited down under. All of that is about to change very soon. From mid-to-late November this year, gamers who don’t have access to a credit card — or simply don’t like giving their details out online — will be able to purchasePlayStation Network Store prepaid credit. Square Enix : New Wii in 2011

The CEO of game publisher Square Enix has said that he’s expecting a new Wii in 2011, and that motion sensing controls won’t be the success for Sony and Microsoft that the companies are hoping that they’ll be.

In an interview with the Financial Times, Yoichi Wada said that Nintendo’s next Wii will be released in two years time, with functionality more like that of the Xbox 360 and PS3 and “possibly a different controller”. Read more…
